Community Portraits
Labrador Coastal Drive is a spectacular driving route on the south coast of Labrador, crossing ancient headlands high above sea level, dipping down long slopes and meandering into sheltered bays to reach outport communities. Most of the communities of Labrador Coastal Drive were settled as permanent fishing communities in the early 1800s. You are invited to discover the unique history of each community and learn how heritage and tradition are still very much a part of everyday living.
